Graphite expandable
Le graphite expandable est un composé synthétique d'intercalation de graphite qui se dilate ou exfolie lorsqu'il est chauffé.une diminution de la densité en vracPuis il est comprimé dans une feuille flexible très cohésive.
Une autre application principale est comme retardateur de flamme. À la suite de la chaleur d'un feu, le graphite se dilate et crée une couche intumescente sur la surface du matériau.Cela ralentit la propagation du feu et minimise l'un des effets les plus nocifs de la combustion.: la production de gaz toxiques et de vapeurs.
Avantages du graphite dilatable comme retardateur de flamme:
- Forme une couche d'intumescence avec écran thermique, avec une diffusion thermique supérieure.
- Arrête ou ralentit la propagation du feu et des gaz toxiques.
